Job Description

The Business Development Representative (BDR) supports the Sales Team in reaching monthly goals and overall growth company wide. The primary responsibility of the BDR is advancing leads through the sales cycle and connecting them with the appropriate Account Representatives. The BDR communicates directly with our prospective customers and encourages them to learn more about Ignition via demos and speaking with Account Reps. The BDR team is also responsible for maintaining data integrity in CRM. The BDR duties, responsibilities and functions may change frequently or as needed by the Sales team and the company. Remote, hybrid and on-site opportunities are available.

Responsibilities

  • Daily outreach to new leads via phone calls and emails
  • Promptly responding to potential customer web form requests and inquiries
  • Advancing potential customers through the sales cycle, scheduling demos and assigning accounts
  • Performing accurate database research to ensure successful interactions and accurate assignments
  • Gathering and sharing resources with leads, exhausting all avenues to convert a lead to a customer
  • Tracking assignments accurately to ensure new leads are assigned in a fair rotation
  • Verifying account and contact information entered in CRM, ensuring data is up to date and accurate
  • Documenting all interactions between themselves and customers in CRM
  • Gathering information for customers regarding licensing and use of Ignition

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, or Marketing is a plus
  • 1+ years’ experience in a sales or customer service role
  • Experience with a sales CRM software, preferably Hubspot
  • Excellent communication skills via the phone, email and face to face
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Word/Excel and email platforms i.e. Gmail
  • Self-starter and able to maintain strong self-motivation
  • Highly organized and strong attention to detail
  • Able to multi-task and juggle projects for multiple team members, while staying focused and completing goals by their deadlines
  • Positive outlook with strong professional etiquette
Pay
Based on the Sacramento region, the new hires target salary for this role is $55k.
Inductive Automation’s ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Although it is not typical for an individual to start at the top end of the range for the position, compensation decisions are dependent on: the facts and circumstances of each case, work location, job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training; and other business and organizational needs.
